Do you offer free estimates?
We provide estimates to homeowners at no charge. However, fees may apply for insurance claims, requests from non-homeowners, and equestrian or grading projects. For equestrian and grading work, we provide general estimates unless detailed blueprint plans are required. All estimates are typically delivered within 2-3 business days. Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we carry both general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We hold a Home Improvement Company (HIC) license and a Construction Supervisor License (CSL). Our team members also maintain various specialized machine licenses. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and checks. For information about additional payment options, please contact our office directly.Do you offer lifetime dry basement guarantees?
While many companies offer lifetime dry basement guarantees, this claim isn't entirely realistic. Most drainage systems are designed to resist clogging, though water with high iron content can increase this risk (which is typically addressed in contracts). All interior drainage systems rely on sump pumps, which will eventually fail. Most pumps carry a 3-year warranty and typically last 7-8 years. Battery backups and secondary pumps provide limited protection (usually 8-10 hours). We recommend having a generator as an additional safeguard. It's also important to note that even companies offering dry basement guarantees typically don't cover damage to your basement or belongings if the pump or system fails.Do you offer emergency service?
We do provide emergency services, though our availability depends on current staffing. Our team may already be working on another client's system when an emergency arises, which can delay our response. During overnight emergencies, available staff typically work through a list of service calls, which means wait times can range from several hours to a day or two. This is common across the industry, even with larger companies that may have only one or two technicians available for thousands of customers during emergency hours. To maximize protection, we recommend installing a secondary pump, battery backup, and generator. Can you seal the walls and floors so no water gets in?
We don't recommend this approach, even if a perfect sealant existed. Sealing walls and floors would trap water inside your foundation, which creates serious problems. In winter, trapped water can freeze, expand, and crack the foundation, resulting in more extensive and costly damage.Do crack injections work?
Repairing foundation cracks from the exterior is the most effective method. While crack injections may work in some cases, many fail over time—even those with warranties—because foundations shift and most injection materials don't flex sufficiently with the home's movement. Why is it important to have a CSL?
Contractors with a Construction Supervisor License (CSL) are generally viewed as more trustworthy and reliable because the licensing requirements are significantly more rigorous than standard contractor registration. Additionally, state-approved contractors are typically qualified to perform a broader range of construction work rather than being limited to a single trade.
